My Top 3 Beaches

I was interviewed about my top three beaches that I’ve seen and been during my editorial dispatches and personal holidays for an online travel portal, www.inflight.ph.  And one of my fave beach is the Blue Lagoon in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon

“”It’s underdeveloped, unspoilt. There are hardly any people around. It’s very beautiful with its turquoise waters and coarse but white sand. It’s good for swimming and ideal for kitesurfing because of strong winds. At the far end of the beach is Maira-ira Cove, a spot known for surfing and diving.”

The best time to go. To enjoy Blue Lagoon at its calmest accompanied by bright blue skies, visit during the Philippine summer months from March to May.

Where to stay. Kapuluan Vista Resort Hotel and Convention Center is a 10-minute stroll to Blue Lagoon’s main beach. The hotel has 10 tropical inspired rooms from dormitory style to deluxe rooms with loft, infinity pool, an organic garden where they grow most of their vegetables, and good food (try the burrito, local sausages, and organic pesto pasta).

How to get there. Florida and RCJ buses can take you from Manila to Pagudpud in about 11 hours. From the National Highway in Pagudpud, it’s a 20 minute-drive to Kapuluan Vista Resort.”
